Tractor Bob’s is a leading tractor and farm equipment and Yanmar dealership. We have recently expanded our service area by opening our Gainesville, Texas location. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Accountant to join our team.

Job Description

As an Accountant at Tractor Bob’s, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the financial stability of our dealership. You will work closely with our finance and management teams to manage financial transactions, prepare financial reports, and provide valuable insights for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts
  receivable, and payroll.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software and
  spreadsheets.
• Reconcile financial statements, bank statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Work closely with the finance and management teams to provide financial insights and
  support decision-making.
• Support the audit process and implement internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred but not required.
• Proven experience in accounting and financial management.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• A sales professional will have the drive to coach, lead, and engage our buyers through each sales opportunity.
• Meet monthly forecast for sales volume and sufficient gross to meet profit objectives.
• Oversee all sales avenues including online and face-to-face.
• Create and organize personal sales activities for the Sales department.
• Attend weekly sales meetings with the team.
• Maintain product knowledge on Ag equipment/Construction equipment and reports on competitive marketing and product activities.
• Establish a positive relationship with customers by getting involved in customer interactions. Greet every customer, make them feel welcome, and thank them for coming in.
• Stay abreast and informed of all new inventory and current advertising efforts, including rebates and incentives.
• Enthusiastically assist sales team in customer interactions and closing sales opportunities by enhancing the customer experience.
• Understands various finance options available.
• Responsible for maintaining a positive, clean and well-merchandised work environment, including showroom and lot display, merchandising, dress-code and ensuring all customer areas are kept well maintained.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• Assemble tractor implements: brush hogs, box blade, finish mowers, tillers etc.
• Assemble UTV’s: add ROP’s, hard tops etc.
• Add Accessories to UTV’S and Tractors
  • Examples: radios, camera systems, hydraulic backhoes, belly mowers, 3 rd function valve
    kits, work light kits, wiper kits, hydraulic cylinders
• Detail new units
• Regular maintenance on heavy equipment, tractors, mowers and UTV’s
• Load and unload trucks
• Operate a forklift
• Fabricate special requests for customers

Under general supervision will be responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling of farm machinery and vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following, however, other duties may apply:

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors and harvesters
• Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools
• Record details of repairs and parts used
• Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation, and making adjustments as necessary
• Clean and Lubricate parts
• Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and
  hand tools
• Tune or overhaul engines
• Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate
  and diagnose malfunctions
• Repair and replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, and saws
• Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery
• Repair bent or torn sheet metal
• Repair defective engines or engine components
• Service vehicles to maintain functionality
• Test equipment to ensure proper functioning after repairs have been made
• Repair structural components

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of Farm Equipment machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Knowledge of critical circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer software, including applications and programming
• Good Customer and Personal service skills
• Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, and instruction for individuals
• Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
• Talking to others to convey information effectively
• Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Post-secondary certification required
• Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience

• Ability to have face-to-face discussions

• Performs general truck repair including diesel engine diagnosis and repair
• Diagnosis and repair in the field of problems relating to starters, fuel filters, alternators, and u-joints
• Dismantling of vehicles and/or parts for salvage or resale
• General tire repair
• Repowering and custom truck conversions
• Trailer repair including brakes, suspensions, electrical and doors
• Assist with wreckers, airbags, and building maintenance

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and terminology of the truck mechanic trade
• Knowledge of the functioning of diesel engines and in general the other working parts of trucks and trailers
• Skill in diagnosing and repairing malfunctions
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Education and Experience

• Two years’ experience in general truck maintenance and diesel engine repair or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience in related mechanics
